The Situation

According to a recent article in Forbes magazine, the Construction industry has 7 of the top 10 fastest growing industries. With that statistic in mind, a lot of Construction companies struggle with finding a reliable method for tracking their project or job management. Outside sales representatives have a hard time keeping up with information on jobs they have bid on, or jobs they want to bid on. Wouldn’t it be great to be able to pull this information up real-time on your phone? Wouldn’t it be great if you could know at the touch of a button which companies are linked to what bids so you know who to contact for which job? Tour de Force is here to help.

First, let’s address Project Management.

There are so many terms for this topic: Public Bid Job Management, Opportunity Tracking/Management, Construction Job Management, etc. All of these terms mean the same thing. You want to be able to understand where all of your opportunities are in your area as a distributor.

What makes Tour de Force unique?

So let’s discuss how you can manage your opportunities. One option would be for you to do so through your ERP system, into which you enter your data and track your bids anyway. But as an outside sales representative, you can’t access the data on your ERP system from a remote location. In order to find out needed information, you typically have to call into your office and wait while someone looks up the information to give you, causing a halt in everyone’s workday.

Another option for tracking opportunities would be to buy an opportunity specific CRM system. The issue there would be that once again, you cannot access that system from outside the office, and you still have to call in.

With Tour de Force, from an out-of-the-box standpoint, we take opportunity management to a whole new level. While opportunity management is a standard function for any CRM system, Tour de Force will integrate to YOUR ERP system, and will pull information from there to provide to you in the CRM platform. This means that anyone away from the office can pull up this real-time data anywhere, any time, and on any device.

Companies that are ideal for Project Management with Tour de Force:

  • Construction companies
  • Electrical Products Distributors
  • Automation Distributors
  • HVAC Distributors
  • Specialty Tool Distributors
  • PVF Distributors
  • Manufacturer Representatives
  • Safety Supply
  • Any business that sells products to a single or multiple customers on a single project/job

Another benefit of the Tour de Force Solution is the power of our BSI connector, which gives you the ability to have an automated alert containing updates about bid boards when there is a new job in your area. The information from the bid boards gets pulled into Tour de Force everyday. Salesmen then have the ability to have all job updates alerted to them; once it’s in the Tour de Force database, they can use Tour de Force Alerts & Notifications to push that information out to anyone that needs it. All job statuses are now accessible to everyone. Our BSI connector also tracks all orders, quotes, and purchase orders from vendors related to that project. Our advance BI gives you the ability to look at a job in totality to have a clear vision to what is happening at the job.

The Conclusion

Functions of the Tour de Force Solution that we have described above are not typical CRM functions. Tour de Force is a one-of-a-kind system offering CRM, SFA, BI, and BPO solutions. Want to learn more about how we can help you with Project Management? Contact us today.
