There’s a new acronym on the software scene: BPO. But what does that actually mean? Well, there’s a short answer and a long answer to this one.

For all my short answer people who want me to cut right to the chase – here it is: Business Process Optimization.

Now let’s dive deeper for the long answer…BPO is the discipline of systematically analyzing transactional processes in an end-to-end business cycle to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of those processes. The cycle of consistently analyzing business processes can be pretty time consuming, which is where BPO software comes into play. BPO software is designed to touch all facets of your organization in order to streamline processes and increase profitability through automation.

What is BPO?

Here are the top 5 benefits of BPO:

1. Efficiency

Efficiency is crucial to the daily routine of everyone in an organization. When monotonous tasks become automated through Business Process Optimization software, it enables employees to be more productive with their time and allows them to focus on other high priority tasks.

2. Visibility

Having access to accurate data in real time can mean the difference between winning and losing a deal. Possessing a centralized data system where everyone in an organization can access information at any time is extremely valuable – and easily achievable through BPO.

3. Flexibility

A successful business is a flexible one – able to pivot at the drop of a dime. BPO software provides the ability to act quickly while still having defined processes in place, keeping adjustment time to a minimum and helping employees seamlessly transition into a new role or additional responsibilities.

4. Accountability

Accountability in the work place provides structure for results. Business Process Optimization software imparts proper monitoring and reporting tools that can help reduce human error with double data entry, as well as simple tasks that may be forgotten.

5. Results

Business initiatives mean nothing if they don’t produce results. BPO software transforms processes with multiple variables into a sure science – generating consistent and positive results. This leads to increased revenue, benefiting everyone from individual employees, to the organization as a whole.
